Our passion, your journey

At Kṛṣṇa Kalalaya, we are dedicated to preserving and propagating the rich tradition of Bharatanatyam. We pride ourselves on our authentic teaching methods and nurturing environment. "To nurture dancers who carry the spirit of Krishna's Kalinga Narthana — dancing with fearless devotion, divine grace, and the understanding that every movement is an offering to the cosmic rhythm of Nataraja."

Bharatanatyam classes

We provide a range of classes and events designed to cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Our focus is on fostering artistic growth and a deep understanding of Bharatanatyam.

Bala Lasya

 Beginner (Ages 5–10)

"Little feet find their first rhythm. Tiny hands shape their first mudra. In Bala Lasya, children discover the joy of movement through the playful grace of young Krishna — learning the foundational steps, gentle expressions and the beautiful discipline of Bharatanatyam in its most innocent and joyful form."

Madhura Nritya

Madhura Nritya · Intermediate

"The body has found its foundation. Now the dance finds its sweetness. Madhura Nritya deepens the student's journey through expanded adavu sequences, expressive abhinaya and classical compositions — each movement flowing like Krishna's enchanting melody, drawing the heart deeper into the art."

Murali Natya

Murali Natya · Advanced

"As Krishna's flute draws every soul toward him, the advanced dancer draws every eye to the stage. Murali Natya is where technique transforms into artistry — where the student masters the full classical repertoire, explores complex rhythmic patterns, layered abhinaya and the profound spiritual depth that Bharatanatyam carries within it."

Venu Lahari

Venu Lahari · Arangetram

"The flute's song reaches its fullest, most resonant note. Venu Lahari is the culmination of years of devotion, discipline and surrender to the art. The student steps onto the stage alone — carrying every adavu learned, every emotion felt, every prayer offered through dance — and presents the complete Margam as their sacred offering to Nataraja."
